JOB SUMMARY

At First Baptist Church of Panama City, our mission is to go and make disciples of all nations by evangelizing and teaching people how to become fully mature followers of Jesus Christ. Each staff position within our church is integral to advancing this mission and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial part in fostering spiritual growth, enhancing our worship experience, and supporting outreach initiatives. The part time cook will be responsible for assisting the Director of Food Service in cooking meals as assigned. Other duties will be cleaning equipment and stocking food and other supplies.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The candidate must have a current Food Safe Certificate. A minimum of three (3) years experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred but other previous experience will be considered. Skill in utilizing commercial kitchen equipment and food handling is necessary. Must possess good interpersonal communicational skills. The candidate must possess organizational skills relating to task driven deadlines.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Requires constant (75-100% of the time) standing for long periods of time. Requires constant operation of standard commercial kitchen equipment, and (75-100%) ability to move freely about the kitchen and serving areas. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires occasional (50-75%) bending and reaching. Requires occasional (1% - 33%) outside work relating to serving meals to church members. Requires the ability to communicate clearly.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is generally performed indoors in air conditioned/heated commercial kitchen for most of the time but occasionally will require outside grilling or serving for events throughout the year.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT

Must possess working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and handling and storage of food.
