“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve...”
— Mark 10:45

What is Join In?

As we continue building our church around the five functions listed in the second chapter of Acts (discipleship, evangelism, service, worship & fellowship), the focus for 2018 will be on SERVING.  The theme throughout the year is “Join IN”.  Our desire is to assist every member of FBC in identifying their spiritual gift and help connect them to serve as we edify the body and impact our community.

Students and Children (4th & 5th grade only) have a age-appropriate paper assessment. For a copy of the children's assessment please contact Ginger Owens: gowens@firstbaptistpc.com, and for students contact Leanne Pitts: lpitts@firstbaptistpc.com

Please note: Every person taking the assessment needs to use a different email

JOIN IN Stories

God is using Larry to serve in the area of Sanctuary Care to show men how to have a servant’s heart. He also tries to recruit men to get involved. God called Larry to serve in this area specifically when he started coming to Bible Study and his friend Gene Pressley said they needed people to help clean the church after Bible Study. There were only a couple people doing it at that time and Larry thought, "We can do better than that!" As a group, they take pride in their work and just want to be what the Lord would call good and faithful servants. It gives Larry great joy to clean this House of Hope! The cleaning crew also supports each other and shares each other’s problems. And when they show up to clean, no one has to tell us what to do. They just all pitch in and start cleaning. He thinks that’s the coolest part!

This January, Stewart & Melonie hosted 7th grade girls during DNow weekend. God used Melonie’s gift of hospitality to make the girls feel welcome. God called her to serve in this area by using their home to be a comfortable place for kids to come! It brings great joy to watch these girls listen and learn about Jesus over the weekend.
