It all started when...
We bring our worship to our God who delights in the praise of His people.
Our purpose in worship is to:
2.Exalt the Savior
3.Proclaim the good news of Jesus and
4.Point people to the saving message of the cross
In all that we sing and play we desire to engage all ages in the corporate and personal privilege of worship.
ADULT CHOIR AND ORCHESTRA
Our adult choir and orchestra helps lead our worship services each Sunday morning. We offer two rehearsals for the adult choir so that all who want to participate are able.
Wednesday 6:00-7:15 is our first choir rehearsal held in the Sanctuary. This is the main rehearsal where you will find the majority of the choir.
Wednesday 7:15-8:00 is our second choir rehearsal for those involved in Wednesday night activities who are unable to attend the main rehearsal.
Wednesday 6:45-7:45 the orchestra joins the adult choir in the sanctuary to rehearse at the same time
If you are interested in joining the Adult Choir or Orchestra, come into a rehearsal or contact Kim Strickland in the music office at email@example.com.
The Young Adult Music Ministry consists of mostly people in their 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s who cannot commit to weekly rehearsals, but still desire a musical community with which to serve. This group rehearses only once a month on the first Sunday of the month directly following the service. They also sing and lead worship once a month in our services. Beyond worship services, this group is connected with our community by serving outside the walls of our church.
At First Baptist we put a priority on raising our children in God’s Word so that the ideas behind worship truly stick in their hearts and minds. This is done through Bible teaching, singing Scripture, and presenting musicals with a Godly message. Preschool Choir meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:15 on the third floor. These classes are divided by children ages 3, 4, and 5. These children share music in church at least twice a year. Children’s Choir meets on Wednesday nights from 5:45-6:30 on the fourth floor These children present musicals twice a year, once at Christmas, and once in the spring. .
Summer Schedule: Choirs both preschool and children will meet from 6-7 the first half of the summer, and will not meet again until the fall.
