Kids’ MINISTRY
The focus of the ministry to our 1st-5th graders at First Baptist Church is to teach them of God’s love and how they can apply His love to their lives each day. Teaching about God and Jesus plays an important role in helping children understand salvation. We provide a biblical framework for laying a foundation that becomes the pathway to conversion, spiritual growth, and a biblical worldview.
We want children to HEAR God’s Word, KNOW God’s Word, and DO God’s Word!

First Kids, join us on the Grassy Lot on Wednesday, May 22, for a night of fellowship and fun to kick off the Summer!
Join us for VBS 2024, on Breaker Rock Beach! Kids will learn to build their life on God’s Rock - with solid truth in a world of shifting sands. Romans 12:12
Ages 4 years (by 9/1/23) through 5th Grade. Online registration ends Wednesday, June 5. After June 5, registration will be available on-site.
We are so excited to have fun together and grow in faith at this amazing Kids’ Camp. Registration for 3rd-5th graders: December 13-March 6. Registration opens up for 2nd graders (if spots available): March 7-April 10.
The cost is $250 until March 6. After March 6, for 3rd-5th graders, cost is $280. Please register, complete payment and all three forms.
Sunday Mornings
Sunday School
Sunday school is an exciting, high energy learning time for children in 1st – 5th grade. They will meet in the Joy Building for games, songs, scripture learning, and Bible truths at 9:00 AM and will be escorted to Kids’ Church at 10:30 AM.
Kids’ Church
Kids’ Church is a unique worship experience for children 1st – 5th grades. They will participate in worship at their age level with songs, biblical foundations, and a message that they can relate to. We also work on Scripture memorization with Bible Verse Challenge. See the details under Resources. Our goal for Kids’ Church is to provide a biblical framework and foundation that will lead the children to conversion, spiritual growth, and a biblical worldview. They meet in room 306C at 10:30 AM.
Wednesday Nights
Kids’ Choir
Our elementary age choir presents two musicals each year; one in the spring and one at Christmas. Through music, they learn scripture and what it means to worship God through music. Meet on the 4th floor of the Joy Building.
GROWING IN TRUTH
We are using a curriculum for boys & girls, 1st – 5th grade, called Growing in Truth. Each month we have a new series of lessons based on a theme. For example: Moses, The Ten Commandments, The Prophets, Jesus is Savior of the World, etc. There are games, crafts & a lesson plan each week. Our goal is to help your kids grow spiritually, by teaching and discussing Scripture in developmentally appropriate ways.
